Shasti Conrad (she/her)
Chair of the Washington State Democrats

Shasti Conrad is the first woman of color and youngest person to serve in her role. Shasti also serves as a Democratic National Committee Associate Chair, where she is helping build a stronger Democratic Party. Adopted from Calcutta by a single mom and raised in rural Oregon, Shasti is also the first South Asian woman to lead a state party organization anywhere in the country and the first AAPI Chair in the contiguous 48 states. In her first term as State Party Chair, Shasti oversaw Democratic victories that included every single statewide office, every Congressional incumbent seat, increased margins in the state legislature, and WA as the only state to go more blue in the entire country. Prior to leading the Washington Democrats, Shasti served as a staffer and consultant on four presidential campaigns and worked in the Obama White House’s Office of Public Engagement and for President Obama’s Senior Advisor. Shasti graduated from Seattle University and received her Master’s in Public Affairs from Princeton.

Wynne McHale (they/them)
Chief of Staff for Washington Health Benefit Exchange

With a background in leadership, government relations, and community organizing, Wynne works to create the equitable future we all need.

Prior to serving as Chief of Staff, Wynne provided leadership and direction for statewide customer outreach and enrollment programs as the Associate Director of Outreach for the Exchange.

Before joining the Exchange, Wynne served nearly seven years with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN), as a grassroots organizer and Washington government relations director. In this capacity, they advocated for increased access to care and helped raise Washington state’s age of sale for tobacco & e-cigarettes to 21.

Prior to ACS CAN, Wynne worked on political, issue, and judicial campaigns, and served as a communications specialist in the Washington House of Representatives during the 2012 state legislative session.

 America Lunsford (she/her)
 Candidate, Mayor of Winlock

America Lunsford is a lifelong advocate for equity, accountability, and strong communities. She is running for mayor of Winlock because she believes the town deserves a leader who listens deeply, acts boldly, and governs with compassion. Her mission is to ensure every resident—regardless of background or zip code—has a voice, a seat at the table, and a fair shot at opportunity.

As an advocate for military families, she has worked alongside members of Congress, investigative journalists, and healthcare leaders to reform policies and improve systems that directly impact service members and their loved ones. Her advocacy is marked by strategic focus, aggressive determination, and an unwavering commitment to equity.

Ray Chapman-Wilson (he/him)
Candidate, Centralia City Council, District 2

Ray Chapman-Wilson is a candidate for City Council District 2. For 36 years he’s led teams as a cabinetmaker and project manager; today he’s semi-retired and works on home renovations. He helped pass WA’s SB 5375 child-protection bill and volunteers with Cascadia Cares, the George Washington Park Peace Vigil, senior home repairs and stray-cat rescue. His priorities are safety, affordable housing, living wages, childcare access, universal healthcare and ending corporate money in elections.

All proceeds support the Lewis County Democrats’ ongoing efforts to recruit and support local candidates, promote progressive policies, and build a stronger community.

Want to help? We’re looking for volunteers to assist with cooking, serving, setup, and cleanup. Click here to sign up and let us know!
